Group CFO to lead & manages the Global Finance Function.
Directs & controls the financial & financial planning activities, taking responsibility for putting in place & maintaining as current finance policies & procedures.
Responsible for the completion & management of all financial accounts & reporting with full adherence to the required Accounting Standards.
Manages the budget cycles and accompanying Management reporting & forecasting, including providing insightful qualitative & quantitative commentary.
Produces accurate & timely reporting to the Board, Executive Management & all Department Heads as well advising on key financial issues & trends.
Presents on a regular basis the financial results, be these management reports or the audited financial statements, highlighting all variances to budget or forecasts with recommendation for remedial action(s).
Manages currency risks stemming from the business, advises on income generation opportunities for own book to maximize returns and contributes to transfer pricing policy & decisions.
Responsible for taxation oversight across the global business.
Develop, enhance, implement & enforce policies & procedures of the group by way of systems that improve the overall operation & effectiveness of the organization.
Contributes to the discussion & control on all cost maintenance.
Contributes as a member of the Senior Global Management team to the development & delivery of the Strategic Plan & to ensuring the company maximises its short, medium & long term profitability return to its shareholders.
Manages the company’s bank accounts & funds flow.
Manages the relationship with Prime Broker(s), external auditor(s), Regulators & other relevant parties.
Drives the implementation of new software, data migration & process for the financial control function.
Attends to special assignments requested by the Executive Management/Committees
Evaluates the Finance Department Structure & team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency & effectiveness of the group.
Skills and Competencies:
Senior Managerial skills, with maturity and polished inter-personal skills.
Strategic thinker but hands-on approach.
Capable of managing a global function with multiple overseas locations.
Proactive, positive and flexible approach to teamwork.
Excellent level of written and spoken English. Arabic a benefit.
Educational / Experience Requirements:
Professional Certification – CFA or ACA
20+ years’ experience within Finance, of which 10 in a senior capacity.
Preference for a background in financial services with global exposure, including GCC.
2 -3 Experience of working in financial services, especially margin trading for FX or CFDs preferable
High degree of self-motivation, ambition & agility.
Resilient and capable of working at speed in a rapidly growing & dynamic environment.
Experienced in managing people and deliver results.
