To support the Head of Personal Loans in:

* Ownership of SCB Personal Loans product range, processes and the P&L.
* Maximizing the profitability and potential of the Bank's Personal Loans portfolio by ownership of the customer lifecycle from first usage, spend, balance building and retention.
* The Senior Manager Personal Loans will maximize the profitability of the portfolio whilst minimizing risk exposure and ensuring that the product range is appropriately targeted to our customer segments.
* Ownership of the SCB Credit Cards, processes and the P&L.
* Maximizing the profitability and potential of the Credit Cards portfolio by ownership of the customer lifecycle.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

* Ownership of Product, P&L and product development to meet the Bank's objective and maximize product profitability.
* Development of the annual product and marketing plan, including forecasts and action plans.
* Ownership of strategy and execution pertaining to product lifecycle management initiatives.
* Use of segmentation and analytics to drive LCM strategy including ongoing management and measurement of this strategy to ensure optimal return on investment whilst striving towards industry best practice via a test and learn approach.
* Continually reviewing existing product range, offering, processes and sales channels and threats are identified.
* Monitoring of the local competition and overseas markets to ensure opportunities and threats are identified.
* Understanding, overview and re-engineering of key portfolio processes to ensure that they are cost efficient and customer centric.
* Solicit support from other key linkage to ensure synergy and smooth delivery of product and services.
* Ensure that the Portfolio operates within bank operational risk parameters including audits and compliance.
* Strategy and business Performance:
* Develop and execute the business strategy for cards to achieve goals:

* Revenue growth, cost control, LI, profit, economic profit, accounts performance.

* Driving innovation of products and services to meet the needs of targeted customer segments.
* Drive acquisition, retention management, account activation and usage, customer satisfaction, Loyalty index.
* Liaise with external associations (Visa / Master Card / Amex).
* Manage & optimize portfolio risks.

Business Management:
* Drive product development and innovation to meet/ anticipate needs of customers.
* Manage compliance of PDDs, CRDs and the control of programs/ CDD.
* Develop and Launch innovative products as well as product-bundling to increase market share and revenue.
* Portfolio and Credit Risk Management.
* Work with marketing on product marketing and branding.
* Identify new segments, channels or opportunities for product distribution and marketing.
* Work collaboratively with other business functions to enhance business opportunities through cross-sell and to resolve cross-functional operations and service issues.
* Work closely with the direct sales force and other channels.

* Improve the end-to-end process for Cards business with focus on quality in delivery and cycle time. This includes acquisition, underwriting, authorization, account retention & maintenance, results tracking, etc to deliver the customer value proposition.
* Manage the productivity and efficiency of the Cards Business Team.

Leadership & People:
* Build a strong talent pipeline for future business growth and continuity.
* Coach direct reports and key talents to deliver on individual performance.
* Manage employee engagement, motivation and attrition issues.
* Be an effective agent of change and a role model for talented managers throughout the Bank.

Compliance & Control:
* Ensure strict compliance with all regulations and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities by all staff.
* Responsible for achieving and maintaining satisfactory audit rating.

Qualifications and Skills

* Sound understanding of the Personal Loan product management, process reengineering and credit risk management.
* Strong financial management skills including forecasting and modeling.
* A positive and flexible can-do-attitude with a strong ability to lead and drive cultural change.
* Analytical approach to problem resolution.
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritize competing requirements.
* Sound communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
* Flexible approach to work practices.
* Proven team player.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to lead from the front.
* A positive and flexible can do attitude with a strong ability to lead and drive cultural behavior.
* Significant experience within Product and P&L Management - Advanced level experience.
* Risk Management - Core.
* Credit Risk Analysis - Core.
* Market Competitor Knowledge - Core.

* Strong knowledge of Retail Banking environment.
* Exposure to marketing strategy development.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and financial management skills - expert.
* Ability to identify need for change, adaptable and flexible in anticipating and realizing market opportunities- Expert.
* Negotiation skills - Expert.
* Market Competitor Knowledge - Advanced.
* Product Knowledge, services and delivery channels available - Expert.
* Balancing short term profitability with long term stability and portfolio health.
