About the Institution
About Academic ProgramsThe University offers 18 programs from 9 departments. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research accredited the first academic cohort programs which included: Bachelor in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, and Management Information Systems. Shortly afterwards, they accredited the following additional programs: Bachelor of Urban Planning and Bachelor of Education {English, Arabic and Islamic Studies}, in addition to the MBA Program with six different concentrations.
High Qualified InstructorsThe ELC instructors are qualified and experienced professionals who have taught English as a second language all around the world. All instructors have postgraduate qualifications as well as several years of experience teaching ESL.

About Faculties And Departments ALHOSN University consists of 3 Faculties: Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, which includes the Department of Education; Faculty of Business, which includes the Departments of Business Administration and Management Information Systems; and the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, which includes the Departments of Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Interior Design, Software Engineering, and Urban Planning.

Entry Requirements
ALHOSN requires a UAE General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent as certified by the U.A.E Ministry of Education with a minimum overall average of 60%. Certain programs may have other explicitly admissions requirements to ensure that students admitted to degree programs, have an adequate background in specific areas.
Students, who obtained their secondary school completion certificate from outside the UAE, are required to meet the conditions set by the Ministry of Education. Their credentials must be certified by the Ministry of Education from their respective governments. British System Certificates { IGCSE, GCSE}
The student is required to have a minimum of 7 subjects from the O-Levels, AS-Levels, A-Levels. The grades that are accepted as follows: •O-Level: C grade and above. •AS-Level: D grade and above. •A-Level: E grade and above. {Please note that the student must finish grade 11 in the school.}

Objective1.Equip students with skills and competencies in the core functional areas of Accounting.
2.To provide students with the fundamental concepts and theory of business practice in the major functional areas and the understanding of the interrelationships among them.

4.To enhance student skills in using the library and computer resources both to gather and present business and accounting information.
5.To develop students with the ability to source, analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures.

CurriculumThe BBA-Accounting curriculum requires a minimum total of 126 credit hours. Out of these 126 hours, 33 credit hours are for courses under the University General Education in which 27 are compulsory and 6 are electives. The compulsory courses are: FAS 100, FAS 101, FAS 102 or 109, FAS 103, FAS 130, FAS 230, FBA 103, FBA 104 and FES 150. The other six hours could be completed by completing any two of FAS 300, FAS 310 and FAS 320. Sixty-nine {69} credit hours are for courses under the Faculty Requirements {63 compulsory and 6 electives}, and another 24 hours are for courses under the Program Requirements {18 compulsory and 6 electives}.

Application Procedure
Admissions RequirementsALHOSN requires a UAE General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent as certified by the U.A.E Ministry of Education with a minimum overall average of 60%. Certain programs may have other explicitly admissions requirements to ensure that students admitted to degree programs, have an adequate background in specific areas.
Students, who obtained their secondary school completion certificate from outside the UAE, are required to meet the conditions set by the Ministry of Education. Their credentials must be certified by the Ministry of Education from their respective governments.
British System Certificates { IGCSE, GCSE}
The student is required to have a minimum of 7 subjects from the O-Levels, AS-Levels, A-Levels. The grades that are accepted as follows: •O-Level: C grade and above. •AS-Level: D grade and above. •A-Level: E grade and above. {Please note that the student must finish grade 11 in the school.}
American System certificates {High school Diploma}
The minimum overall average required of 60% and the student MUST have grade 12 in the school.
